19th-century Parisian photographer Eugène Atget’s extraordinary images are now considered early masterpieces of photographic realism. His photographs capture the day-to-day activities and architecture of the City of Light. With a long history reaching back to the 16th century, the Pont Neuf is acclaimed as the oldest bridge in Paris. The Chrysler’s rare vintage print by the artist presents a solitary man standing above the reflections.
