Art of Glass – Southeastern Virginia’s celebration of the colorful and fluid medium of contemporary glass – is an unprecedented collaborative art extravaganza. Hot Glass, Flat Glass & Neon: William Morris – Therman Statom – Stephen Antonakos features three dramatic installations by contemporary glass masters at the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk. Concurrently, the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia in Virginia Beach presents Dale Chihuly: Installations – a 30-year retrospective of the celebrated glass artist’s sculptural creations – followed by a summertime exhibition, Progressions in Glass: Chihuly's Associates. Complemented throughout Hampton Roads by programming and satellite exhibitions, Art of Glass is the visual arts cornerstone for the Third Virginia Waterfront International Arts Festival.
