The Chrysler Museum of Art is pleased to continue Chrysler Creates, its studio-art program for adults, established in November 2004. Special emphasis is placed on using the Chrysler’s Permanent Collection not only as a basis for inspiration but also as a model for student works. Instructors provide links between our Permanent Collection or special exhibitions, and the works that students create themselves.
Six-week classes are offered periodically throughout the year. Instructors incorporate gallery time, studying from original works of art, and other features in their teaching that make a class at the Chrysler a unique experience.
Adult students are invited to determine their own ability levels.
Class size may vary according to medium but averages 15 maximum students per class. At the discretion of the Education Department, classes may be cancelled if a minimum enrollment of 67% is not met one week before a class is set to begin.
Please see class registration forms for dates and pricing on individual classes. Unless otherwise noted, registration fees do not include materials, which shall not exceed $100 per class.
Students may register for classes using a form supplied by the Education Department or by downloading and mailing a form available below.
| Plans for the next Chrysler Creates are now underway. Please return to our site soon, or call (757) 333-6268 for more information. | |
