Lecture: 6:30–7 p.m.
Film Screening: 7–8:15 p.m.

Explore the provocative photography of one of the most influential artists of our time. View Cindy Sherman’s work and learn more about her life from Dr. Linda McGreevy, Professor of Art History and Criticism at Old  Dominion University.

Then discover what happens when an amiable public-access TV show host, Gallery Beat’s Paul H-O, scores a series of exclusive interviews—and an unlikely romance—with a rising superstar of the avant-garde art world, the media-shy Cindy Sherman.

Shot between 1993 and 2008, the film gives intimate insights into Sherman’s artistic process and illuminates the celebrity, high finance, pretention, and talent of the New York art scene in the 1990s.
