Glass Studio Community Art Project
Aug 3, 2013
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Chrysler Museum Glass Studio
On Saturday, we're looking for volunteers to stop by the Glass Studio and help decorate glass bottles that will later be used in an art project that will benefit homeless children. All materials will be provided, you can stop by anytime from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and you can paint as many bottles as you wish.
Your handiwork will be included when Brooklyn-based artist John Drury, part of the glass art duo known as CUD, assembles the final product while working live in our Studio Aug. 19 to 25. His artwork will later be auctioned to help ForKids, a local non-profit that fights poverty and homelessness for families and children.
The Glass Studio will hold these bottle decorating sessions four straight Saturdays, and if you can't make it this weekend, please consider Aug. 10 and 17. Suitable for all ages, free, and no experience required.
