Glass Studio Community Art Project
Aug 17, 2013
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Chrysler Museum Glass Studio
This Saturday we could use your help in crafting an art project for a good cause. We're looking for people to stop by the Glass Studio and help paint and decorate glass bottles that will later be used in an art project that will benefit homeless children. All materials will be provided, and you can stop by anytime from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Your handiwork will be included when Brooklyn-based artist John Drury, part of the glass art duo known as CUD, assembles the final product while working live in our Studio Aug. 19 to 25. His artwork will later be auctioned to help ForKids, a local non-profit that fights poverty and homelessness for families and children.
The Glass Studio will be holding these bottle decorating sessions in air-conditioned comfort for four straight Saturdays (July 27 and Aug. 3, 10 and 17) so come grab a paintbrush and unleash your inner Picasso for a good cause.
