Oct 19, 2013
EVMS, Lester Hall, 651 Colley Ave., Norfolk, Va.
How can art make a better medical doctor? What traits of an art historian can make a better diagnostician?
Come join Bill Hennessey, director of the Chrysler Museum, as he speaks at a medical school using innovative approaches to advance the training of tomorrow's doctors.
Students at Eastern Virginia Medical School will mix experts from medicine and social science at their "Humanities in Medicine Symposium" on Oct. 19 at Lester Hall (651 Colley Ave.). Opening remarks begin at 9:30 a.m., and all activities are free and open to the public.
Joining Hennessey on the speakers list will be Dr. Jacek Mostwin, a noted professor of urology at Johns Hopkins University who also is known for his sensitive photographs of the sick and those who care for them.
