Therman Statom, a glass artist known for large sculptural installations, will spend a week working at the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio and the public is invited to drop by and watch.

His project is to create more than 100 glass fish that will be installed in a new lobby at the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters. Statom, who has done similar projects at other children's hospitals, is donating his time, and the Glass Studio is donating free studio time and glass.

There are no set hours for Statom's working visit, so call the Studio at 662-6299 for up-to-the-minute details. For more on his visit, here's an article from The Virginian-Pilot. For more on Statom's work, his website is under construction, but here's a video produced by the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington, during one of his working visits there.
