5:00 PM - 10:00 PM
At the Museum, we open an exhibition of the glass art mastery of Monir Farmanfarmaian with a 7 p.m. lecture on her work by Suzanne Cotter, Director of the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art in Porto, Portugal.
Throughout the evening in Huber Court, get creative at our Make-and-Take table and enjoy the Middle Eastern Music Ensemble from the College of William & Mary.
Because of a HVAC project at the Perry Glass Studio, the performance normally held on the hot shop floor will move to the Museum's Kaufman Theater. Kimberly McKinnis and her students from the Governor's School for the Arts performance class will present Blindsighted, an experience in glass-based optics offering a full spectrum of optical and musical experiences in living color.
Third Thursday is free for Museum Members and students with current ID, $5 for all others. Kaufman Theater seating is first-come, first-seated. Cash bar.
Third Thursday is generously sponsored by The Capital Group Companies and Virginia Natural Gas/AGL Resources.Import to Calendar Share
