Shipyard is a colorful documentary look at a wooden boat shipyard that first ramped up for the war effort in WW II, and then went on to revolutionize the entire boating industry.

The story of The Bellinham Shipyard is largely the story of Archibald W. Talbot, a man with no knowledge of boats or ship construction, yet who built the largest, privately owned shipyard in the nation.

A serial entrepreneur who was always scanning the horizon for new technologies and opportunities, Talbot worked on advancets for radio stations, lamination companies, ski resorts, refrigeration warehouses and more. In 1952, he changed the boating industry forever by pioneering the very first production line of fiberglass pleasure boats.

The documentary was written and directed by Todd Warger. Run-time is 73 minutes and you can watch the trailer here.
