SUNDAY SURPRISES

Sunday Surprises generally take place one Sunday each month and offer fun and educational activities for the entire family.  All programs are included with Museum admission or free to Museum Members. For more information, please call (757) 333-6239.

TICKLE MY EARS: STORIES AND ART AT THE CHRYSLER

Geared for pre-kindergarten children, this program takes place on the first Thursday of every month at 11 a.m. Stories, songs, and surprises help young children appreciate art. This program is supported by Target.

Summer Friday Films for Children

Summer Friday Films for Children is a program to encourage art appreciation and enhance understanding of the Museum’s collection, special exhibitions, and museums in general. Films include contemporary animation, live action, or classics. All films are shown on Fridays during the months of July and August at 10:30 a.m. and are followed by an activity.

CAMP CHRYSLER

Explore new ideas and themes by stopping in our galleries, looking at artwork, and listening to stories in Camp Chrysler 2009’s Stop, Look, and Listen. Campers will have an opportunity to experience Art of Glass 2 and the Museum’s world-class glass collection. 

Each morning campers will have an opportunity to visit galleries and create inspired artworks. Afternoons will be spent with a children’s theater specialist to develop an original play. At week’s end, family and friends are invited to an art exhibition and premiere of a theatrical production – created by our campers! Registration Dates:         Monday, April 6–Friday, May 29
Camp Dates:                 July 6–10 for ages 6 to 8
                                    July 13–17 for ages 9 to 12
                                   July 20–24 for ages 13 to 16

Time:                           Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
                                   Friday, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Cost:                            $175 for Museum Members
                                   $250 for non-Members (Cost includes a one-year
                                   Household Membership)
