The Three States of Glass:
A Survey of Glassmaking
Instructors: John Drury and Robbie Miller
Obtain an overview of less traditional applications of glass with two masters of recycled media, the collaborative art duo CUD.
Over three days, experiment with glass in three states—glass mosaic, glass painting, and sandcasting. As you use crushed, broken, and liquid glass in your Studio group projects, you’ll come to understand their different characteristics and capabilities—and build confidence working with the material.
Find your own unique creative and technical process working within a team, and draw from your own history as you discover limitless new ways to express yourself in glass.

Networking–Form from Void
Instructor: Robert Mickelson
This weeklong workshop will focus on the technique of heating, bending, and welding small-diameter glass rods assembled in mesh-like structures to make sculptural forms.
While the actual technique of working the glass is relatively simple, the logic can be quite complex. This means that technical experience in glass is not as important while an active imagination is.
Students will learn the basics and then create their own original sculptures with the guidance of the instructor.
Cost: $875 Museum Members
$975 all others.
