Super-sized Fast-food and Diner Staples Created in Blown Glass
Beer glasses, donuts, chicken wings, ice cream cones -- John Miller had our Glass Studio audience eating out of his hands while working in our studio July 11-15. His use of fast food as inspiration for glassed food turned out to be incredibly popular.
Miller, who heads the glass department at Illinois State University, has worked on the staff and faculty of Pilchuck Glass School and in 1998 was awarded the C.G.C.A. Fellowship at Wheaton Village in Millville N.J. His work is in the collections of the Corning Museum of Glass, the Museum of Arts and Design, New York, and the Museum of Glass, Tacoma.
