Educational outreach is a key component of the Chrysler's mission to use art to delight, inspire and transform. We offer a variety of options for family education, entertainment and fun, and we host more than 10,000 tour visitors a year. More often than not, it's all free.

Summer Art Camps for Kids
In 2017 we'll offer two editions of Camp Chrysler, week-long sessions of art fun in painting, drawing, and sculpting at the Museum. The summer art camps wrap up with a Camp Chrysler Art Show, and the entire family is invited.
For ages 13-17, we offer a Glass Studio Camp that will run Monday-Friday, June 26-30, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Tickle My Ears
Join us on the first Thursday of each month for art, fun and stories for pre-schoolers. Starting at 10:30 a.m. you and your child can enjoy storytelling time in front of a work of art. After the reading, we'll head downstairs to the Diamonstein Education Workshop for some hands-on fun!
We offer another session at 11 a.m. for groups. If you would like to bring your daycare, church group, or 8 or more toddlers, please attend the 11 a.m. session. Questions? Call Maegan Douglas, Public Programs Coordinator, at (757) 333-6221.
We offer educational modules for classroom use crafted with Virginia SOL standards in mind.
Sample modules include Understanding Civics Through Art, Science of Glass, Ancient Egypt, and Influences of Greece and Rome. We also offer segments on geography and American history. For more information, click here.
