STEAM Camp

Grades 7, 8, and 9
Monday, July 24–Friday, July 28
8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Science meets Art in the Chrysler's new summer STEAM camp. Campers will explore how aspects of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics relate to a variety of artmaking techniques, as well as the paintings, sculptures, and multi- and digital media that make up the Chrysler Collection. This weeklong, cross-curriculum adventure is appropriate for middle school students (grades 7–9), and each activity supports Virginia Standards of Learning.

Students will experience five days of challenging projects and exciting experiments ranging from cyanotypes, perspective drawing, simple robotics, and principles of art to the history and science of glass at our Perry Glass Studio. Campers should bring their own lunches, drinks, and snacks.

Cost: $275 per camper ($220 for Museum Members)

Museum Art Camp

Ages 8–12
Monday, August 7–Friday, August 11
8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

From ancient Egypt to the 21st century, it's a chance for your children to be inspired by the Chrysler Museum of Art. A week of hands-on artmaking, gallery explorations, and Glass Studio demonstrations culminate in an art show that caps off a great week of creativity. Campers should bring their own lunches, drinks, and snacks.

Cost: $199 ($150 for Museum Members)

Teen Hot Glass Camp

Ages 13–17
Monday, June 26–Friday, June 30
8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Here's a chance to students to try a variety of glassmaking glass processes in our state-of-the-art Glass Studio. Campers will spend each day on a different skill—fusing, coldworking, flameworking, and glassblowing—and learn about the fascinating physical properties of glass. Plus, they will visit the Museum to see how glass has been used to create stunning works of art.

Cost: $750 per camper ($600 for Museum Members)
