Two Ways to Help Hope House
The Chrysler is pleased to help spread the word of the good work done by Hope House and we are asking local artists to join in on a good cause.
Feather The Nest
First is a project called Feather the Nest, a community housewarming shower of sorts. The purpose of this Hope House event is to ensure that individuals coming into Hope House services with little or nothing have funds/items/gift cards to furnish their home.
The Chrysler will be selecting 15 local artists to receive a free canvas. Their task will be to create an artwork inspired by an item in the Chrysler Collection, and as a thanks for their donation of the art to Hope House, the artists will be admitted to an invitation-only celebratory party that begins at 6 p.m. Friday, March 31.
That event, to be held at co-sponsors KDW Home/Shades of Light at 1828 Laskin Rd. in Virginia Beach, will feature live music, donated food from local restaurants, an open bar, and lots of good-hearted people. That's because instead of a ticket price, attendance is based on donations of furnishings, gift cards, and the like. For information on how you can contribute, contact Elena Montello at (757) 625-6161 x507.

Community Canvas Day
Noon–5 p.m., Sunday, March 19
Here's a chance to participate in creating a new collaborative artwork to support a great cause: Hope House Foundation's Feather the Nest housewarming program. You'll be able to work with local artists and volunteers to transform three blank 4 foot by 6 foot canvases in Huber Court. The completed community canvases will be donated to Hope House for their annual fundraising dinner.
