Friends of the Jean Outland Chrysler Library

With a collection of more than 80,000 volumes, the Jean Outland Chrysler Library is one of the largest and most important art reference libraries in the South. Established in the early 1980s, the Friends of the Jean Outland Chrysler Library promote community support and interest in the Library. The Friends of the Library raise funds for special Library projects such as the acquisition of art reference materials, videos, and the preservation of the Library’s collection.

Programs and Events

  • Theatre Intime:
    The Friends present films on a variety of art-related topics in the intimate setting of the Library.
  • Lectures and Readings:
    The Friends organize lectures and poetry readings by regionally and nationally known authors and lecturers.
  • Exhibition Receptions:
    The Friends sponsor receptions and activities that complement the Museum’s exhibition schedule.

Dues: $15 Individual, $25 Household - in addition to regular Museum membership dues.
