Maps & Directions

From Richmond, Williamsburg and other points north or west:
There are two routes to the Chrysler from this direction. Interstate 64 is the most direct route. However, this route takes you through the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel (HRBT), which can be very congested during rush hour. We recommending reading overhead signs and checking the dedicated traffic radio station (610 AM). If there is a significant delay, you may want to consider Interstate 664 and the Monitor Merrimac Memorial Bridge Tunnel (MMMBT). The route is longer but may be faster with traffic delays.

Via Interstate 64:
Take I-64 East through the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel. Exit onto I-264 West (Exit 284A). From I-264, take exit 9 (Waterside Drive). This is a left exit. Follow Waterside Drive as the road curves and becomes Boush Street. Go straight through the intersection with Brambleton Avenue and make the next left onto Grace Street. The Museum will be one block ahead at the intersection of Grace and Duke Streets. Visitor parking is available on both sides of the road.

Via Interstate 664
Begin on I-64 East. Take Exit 264 and merge onto I-664 south. Follow this through the Monitor Merrimac Memorial Bridge Tunnel (MMMBT). Take exit 9 for US-17 N. Stay left at the fork and follow signs for VA-164 East. Approximately 6-7 miles later, exit on the left onto US-58 toward the Midtown Tunnel. Go through the Midtown Tunnel. As you exit the tunnel, take the ramp on your  right onto Brambleton Avenue. In just over one mile, turn left onto Duke Street. In one block, turn left onto Grace Street. There are visitor parking lots on both sides of the road.

From the Outer Banks, North Carolina:
Take US 168 (Chesapeake Expressway) North. When the expressway ends, follow the overhead signs and get on I-464. Follow for 6 miles and take exit 9 (Waterside Drive).
