Old Master Paintings: Selections from the Permanent Collection

While the Museum's Early European Galleries are undergoing renovation this winter, highlights from this impressive collection will be displayed in Gallery 122 on the first floor off of Huber Court (formerly the Art Nouveau Furniture Gallery), and the Waitzer Community Gallery. This special showing of European masterpieces will enable visitors to enjoy their favorite works of art from this area of the collections while improvements are made to their permanent exhibition spaces.

The temporary installation, dubbed Old Master Paintings: Selections from the Permanent Collection, will remain on view through April 2001. The exhibition will include such masterpieces as Dossi's Learned Man of Antiquity, Bernini's Bust of the Savior, Georges de La Tour's Saint Phillip, and Saint Sebastian by Anthony van Dyck. The Waitzer Community Gallery will exhibit a number of the Museum's 15th- and 16th- Italian, French, German, and Flemish works. A list of all the works of art on view follows:
