Contemporary Art has a New Face at the Chrysler

As the Curator of Photography for nearly 30 years, Brooks Johnson has exponentially expanded the Museum’s collection of photography to over 4,000 objects, organized more than 100 exhibitions, and has published more than two dozen books and catalogues. Now, Johnson will use his expertise to bring more modern art forms to the Chrysler as Curator of Photography and 21st–Century Art. Johnson was instrumental in instituting the Museum’s photography program in 1978 after the opening of the Alice and Sol B. Frank Photography Gallery. Since that time, the gallery has grown significantly.
