A History of Photography

David L. Hack and Alice R. and Sol B. Frank Galleries
Opening January 11, 2006

The ongoing A History of Photography exhibition presents a survey of the medium from early 19th century to the present. Groups of photographs represent such areas as the American Civil War, the Civil Rights Movement, 19th-century travel photography, and recent work by living photographers. The new installation includes many new acquisitions that have never been on view before, including photographs by Gustave Hergaux, Otto Steinert, Roy DeCarava, and Abelardo Morell.
