The Museum's Library Re-Opens

The Museum’s exceptional collection of monographs, rare books, auction catalogs, and other resources is open once again. The Library will be open Wednesday– Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patrons may visit Wednesday evenings during extended hours by appointment only. Spaces have been reorganized, new electronic resources added, and hundreds of volumes cataloged. A full collection inventory of the library is also underway. At the end of this six-month project, each item in the library will have been taken off the shelf, cleaned, surveyed for preservation needs, and entered into a database. A barcode number and label has also been assigned to each item. At the end of this sixmonth inventory, library staff will know the extent and condition of library holdings and will have significant data about the collection.
