"tourism tuesdays" at the chrysler
May 4 - october 26, 2004

Beginning Tuesday, May 4, and continuing through October 26, the Museum will welcome new visitors and residents alike with special new Tuesday hours, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Begun as a way to complement and enhance the “downtown experience” for the growing number of visitors coming into the area from the cruise ships docking at the Nauticus International Pier, “Tourism Tuesdays” was made possible by a Tourism Opportunity Program Grant (TOPS). Organized by the city of Norfolk, the TOPS program offers challenge grants designed to provide financial assistance for the marketing of cultural and arts groups in order to increase tourism and attendance.

With the Chrysler’s popular array of ongoing exhibitions and offerings, “Tourism Tuesdays” is a great opportunity to treat new visitors to one of the cultural gems of the region, and also to provide additional time at the Museum for members of the communities we serve year-round.
